I need any advice on small business marketing tactics. I also built my self a website the link is www.tagardipeephotography.com please look at my site an offer any advice that would make it better. I want to be able to present myself as a young strong goal-minded professional.



Also I put my ads in craigslist but that only helps just so much where should I put my business cards? etc... Thank you!!

Classified ads should work for you.. and create the profiles in the social community site, it toolbox, etc., and then keep trying to build your network.

First off... your website is not bad. It provides simple user friendly content.
The only problem I see, is your services, are not visible above the fold. Meaning all you see is your website header and buttons. If that cool red text was above the fold people would look.


Next.. Who is the target customer...the ideal person who finds your site? What will they get, that make them want to use you.

Advertising--first you need to get your site listed in the search engines. Try using long tailed keywords for your services. Say classrooms photos in green bay Wisconsin.. If the competition is low enough, your can get listed in Google under cities and states very easily.

Sign up to ezine articles, create your profile. Write some articles about your services and what you offer that no one else does. Example use keywords in your article and submit to Google and yahoo. Site submit button. In the bio box add

Use cragslist and other classified sites. List your company and tell they can receive a free photo album if they buy a specific package deal. Offer an upgrade to a product or services if they download something from your website.

Find photography forums online and submit and answer questions about your field. Find other people to link with. Add testimonials to your website.

use Linkedln.com add your company and website information. Maybe see about trade shows and exhibits for your work.

When starting your own small business, include your website on your business plan. Calculate your ROI ( return on investment )

Getting traffic is not a problem. Focus on how you are going to convert your traffic. Learn ways to keep people coming back and most importantly, build a list.

Online marketing and offline marketing are very critical. Balance them well.

Write content on your site every day and bookmark your articles.
