Advertise in your local newspaper
Put flyers on community boards, shop windows (if they allow), on car windscreens in your local shopping centre.

Maybe display in your salon window an introductory discount, like a grand opening special for one week only.

Tell your friends and family to spread the word.

Go to www.ukfunctions.co.uk

On that site there's a section for you to add a photo of your salon, and tell them exactly what you offer.

Its about £3 pounds per week to advertise, but if you contact them and explain its your first add with them they will allow you to upload your details for free.

Hope this helps.

Flyers Are A Very Good Idea. Colorful Ones That Catch Attention. You Could Distribute Them and Also Put Them On Poles, Pillars, Trees etc.
You Could Also Put An Ad In The Local Newspaper. Hindi And English.
Another Way to Get Peoples' Attention is To Elaborately Decorate and Light Your Salon During Its Opening Weeks.

How do i advertise to get clients to come to my salon?

One of the most affordable and easiest ways I found to advertise was through www.theonlinemarketinggurus.info For a company like your size its the best way to get valuable online advertising. Its not free, but it is very expensive for the ROI

They provide an affordable advertising solution that focuses on bringing your local customer to your business. You will get advertising on Google and Yahoo and all other major search engines as well as placement on high traffic websites with the online marketing gurus platform.

For Free I've used Back Page and of course Graigslist, but now that I'm using the 3 Zip code plan from the online marketing gurus, I rarely post to either free site.

Thanks

Word of mouth advertising is inexpensive and effective.

Ask everyone who enters your salon to sign up to receive your broadcast email.

On your web site have a place on the first page to sign up to receive your e-newsletter.

Send out an e-newsletter every two weeks talking about the latest in hair care. ...or whatever.

Invite your subscribers to forward your emails on to their friends. It shows their friends that they have good taste.

Also, personalize every email.

Use some inexpensive service to do it. ...see if Yahoo or Linked In or someone has a free program.

Also, go wherever women congregate. Women's Chamber of Commerce, schools, churches, athletic clubs, wherever and invite them to have a hair styling fashion show. Do it as a fund raiser.

Join the club and get the membership list. Contact the members and let them know you're one of the gang. Invite them all to come to your web site and sign up to receive your e-newsletter.

See a pattern here?

Does that help?

How do i advertise to get clients to come to my salon?

Hi,

My name is Darren Horsham and i am the manager of Weblinx Ltd. We are the UK's number one optimisation company with clients such as Financial Times, BMW, Mazda, Mini, Nandos to name a few.

You are probably aware that Google is the world?s number one search engine and businesses on the first page will always tell you that the majority of their traffic comes from the first page of Google.

We currently hold over 2000 first page listings on Google alone and have worked with many big and small companies to enhance their presence on Google.

What to expect for your web promotion -

Step1 - Keyword Analysis
Together we select the amount of key phrases you want to target on your website.

Step2 - Web Page Layout
We check the web pages layout so they are search engine friendly. This will require placement of key words in the right places so the search engine spiders know what you are targeting on specific pages.

Step3 ? Website Coding
Weblinx check all web pages ensuring the coding is unique page to page and has the keyword of the product you are targeting.

Step4 ? Backward Linking
Search engines regard key word anchor text linking internally and externally with much importance as in the understanding of what search terms you want to target the audience with. We ensure the correct linking techniques are carried out internally and externally targeting your chosen key phrases with a strategy in place knowing which are the most competitive search terms in your industry.

Step5 ? Ranking Reports
We will provide you with a ?benchmark? report so we know where your website is positioned in the search engines before any work commences. This way we can see the benfits of the seo techniques used as ranking reports are provided on a monthly basis.

Hi Healthwise,

Are you an Independent Beauty Professional? If so you can promote yourself by creating your very own 'webpage' listing on www.SpaAndAway.com - a website dedicated to the Health and Beauty Industry which allows beauty professionals to advertise their treatments in their local area.

It costs £20 and you can list you skills, experience, qualifications, photographs and contact details so that customers can contact you directly. Our site gets over 2.5k visitors each day and you can get listed by town and county.

You can find out more and sign up here: http://www.spaandaway.com/Individual-Listings-c5113/

To see an example of someones else's profile, you can do so here: http://www.spaandaway.com/Mary%20Gallagher%20-%20Mobile%20Therapist%20in%20Edinbrugh-p667.html
