Can you really make money off of google adwords or a different type of ad promotion? I wouldn't quit my day job to do this, but extra cash wouldn't hurt, so there is a lot of buzz about making money off of adword and other ad promotions, I'm wondering if it really worth the time spent.

google's adsense is when they put ads on your site... if people click them or you get a certain amount of hits to your site... they give you a few pennies... you see though it isn't worth it unless you have an incredble amount of visitors, so I hope you are good at writing.

ad words... it what a webmaster makes to promote their business through hyperlinking... it does bring in more business, but it isn't a guarantee for extra money. In fact, you owe google money if people click your ad... so if you are selling something online then this can be a favorable choice, but if you get a bunch of people looking and not buying(which happens a lot) you could end up losing money.

First off you need a GREAT site that has established trust with google.

Adwords is PPC, (Pay-Per-Click) and not actually Search Engine Optimization, however with that being said, you would actually make your money that way by having a kick * website that is USEFUL to people searching for information about your topic of choice.

Then you can (with lots of traffic) see some revenue from ADSENSE (not ADWORDS) ads placed on your site - the ads where it says ' Ads by Google '

ADWORDS is actually what you use to setup the ADS that people will see IN adsense and that COSTS money - Per Click (hence Pay-Per-Click).

We do PPC Management and I'm in charge of SEO at our company.
