Should I submit more articles or add my website to directories for faster exposure?

Do both but focus more on the former.

I would submit to article directories on a regular basis but if you need instant traffic and exposure there are few things you should do instead. When you submit articles it can take time to see results in most cases.

4) Bookmark your website to Digg,Stumble and many others
5) Place Google Adsense on your website
6) Make some good easy money from Google
Not only will you get traffic from the websites above but within 8hrs to 72 hrs. you'll be getting traffic from Google search results. (can be faster depending on your chosen keywords)
