Question on fowarding the same domains and the affect on search engines?

Postby healthnut » Wed Apr 15, 2009 8:57 pm

I currently own a unique doman and to protect myself I purchased .com, .net, .org, info with the same name. I only built a site under the .com name and the others are just blank and actually the host lists it as parked and puts their own advertising on it. On the site host controI panel there is an option where I can forward each site to the .com but dont want to mess up the search engine listing. If I do this will it affect that or can I just put forward in the control panel and all will lead to the .com name? Please advise and thank you for your help.

By forwarding these other domain names to your site does not affect your .com domain.

When you optimized your site Name,Title, Description and h1 tags these are deciding factors for your sites rankings. Also the anchor text used on and off page help to determine page rank.

These other domains will be considered as back links. When you optimize for back linking try to use the keywords that you built your site on as this will show google that these words are relevant to your site.

If the system uses 301 redirect then the search engine will read "your" domain; if it is a 302 redirect then the search engine will read the domain of the site that redirects you. GDI, NPN, or whatever.
