What is a good blogging website?

I want to start blogging. I also want to get heard. I don't need to get paid, but if I an it's good. What is a good blogging website that allows me to "own" my own content and customize it. (Mac user) descriptions please:).

The easiest and in my opinion, the best free blogging platform is Wordpress. It is very easy to customise and has great plugins to make SEO a doddle. You can fully customise the page, and if you want get someone to design you a bespoke page. Only drawback to Wordpress is you cannot put any advertising on their free hosting.

Go with blogspot if your primary concern is making money. It's been around longer, but in my opinion is a lot harder to customise and the SEO is far more difficult than wordpress.

Those three are known blogging sites and it has a set up for mac users. Also, you can make use of social media networking such as facebook, friendster, flixter, my space, etc. and post your blogs there. I hope these suggestions can be a great help to you. Good Luck.

Wordpress by far. But I'd suggest getting a real host, and set up wordpress, don't get one of their free websites if you want to be serious about this.

I've used the following blogging / content management systems: Joomla, Wordpress, Drupal. By far, I've found Wordpress has the most functionality, easy of use, and best support community.

There are so many free blogging websites where you can start blogging without any investment. Famous are like blogging, blogger, blogspot etc.
You can also use Wordpress blog services, I have my own blog on wordpress i.e http://organicseotips.wordpress.com

Best one is blogger.com (Google's). These are the best blogging site for publishing and customizing your own content.
