Linkshare Affiliate Marketing?

Im a member through the linkshare organization. My 1st question is: which code tracks my sales? the image link? which is supplied by channel advisor and has its own unique code, or the link for the image which actually takes the customer inside the store. I called my vendor, linkshares individual links have not been updated since 08 and all their 09 and 10 models are in and i dont even know if i will get credit if someone who knows about this system will please contact me at 910 624 8029 so i can explain what im looking at here
