Hi, I recently created a website (www.CandleThought.com) and was wondering how to best promote it?

I designed this website as sort of a general purpose help site, similar to this one but in Forum form. I hope that it can one day gain traffic and become a way for people to not only aid each other in school or life, but to meet others and form eFriends.



But sadly w/o traffic it is very difficult to see growth or even see the site serve its' purpose.



So, is there an easy or simple way to promote a website or get it's name out there w/o attracting too many spammers? I'm not a member of too many sites, so its difficult to network it properly



Any suggestions?
